DAY 19: SNOW

So we had our psych class as usual.

During our lunch on campus, we got Whatsapp messages from people on other parts of the campus that it was snowing, so two people from our group went out to have a look, but it was none to very light fall where we were.

Anyway, we finished lunch and walked to Korean class through one of the hospitals on campus (it was pretty cool). We were in Korean class for a while when suddenly we noticed little tufts of white falling outside our window. It was snow!! I got so excited that I whipped out my camera and took a video haha. We'd been so worried the whole trip, wondering if we'd see snow so everyone was pretty restless for the rest of the class.

After class ended, Peishan, Suiki, Becky, Richmond and I all rushed outside and got all excited about the snow that was coming down. We were snapchatting, taking pictures and just generally being child-like. To be honest, it kinda looked like rain drizzle/ash falling from the sky, but it was magical nonetheless.

Then I went to Insadong, just to cross some things off my shopping list (e.g. wooden ladles, tea, magnets).

As I was climbing up the staircase to the exit, I saw people with white snow covering their hair and clothes in a thin layer. When I got out onto the street, it was full-on snowing and it was like a winter wonderland. It was so gorgeous and amazing, but pretty slippery as well.

I then went to Myeongdong (again), had a kimchi pancake and a small bowl of yaki noodles for dinner. I also did some window-shopping (i.e. went to ZARA).

Munching on street food

Then I headed back to Sinchon, where I got some of the skincare items Katie wanted, including the VDL Lumilayer primer at 21000W and the Skinfood Black sugar scrub at 9000W (they were all at full-price though).

I also bought some traditional-style bottled Korean tea in jujube and citron tea (Yuja) flavours at Grand Mart (Sinchon, Line 2, #8),which is a supermarket cheaper than Lotte Mart and recommended to me by my roommate Anu!
