After that, I headed off to Myeongdong by myself to get a few things for my kpop-and-beauty-obssessed friend Katie :p
I had to hunt around for a bit to find a shop that sold the album she wanted at a good price (19,300W instead of 25,000W!). I can't remember if I managed to find these two shops exactly, but they were definitely in the vicinity of the instructions given here: http://khanhinkorea.tumblr.com/post/5769136055/myeong-dong-kpop-stores-how-to.
You do have to a bit careful as some of the underground shopping centers have similar names. I think there was a Myeongdong underground shopping centre and a Myeongdong station underground shopping centre, or something confusing like that. But yeah, everything is walkable, so no worries if you get off one station and walk to another of a different line.

I also managed to get some Ryo conditioner for Katie at a random myeongdong supermarket that wasn't Lotte or Watsons, so it was much cheaper than usual (6000W for a 500mL bottle). I think I later saw these conditioners at the same cheap price at the large Lotte Mall in the city, so I guess as long as you do your research and shop around a bit, you'll be fine. With all these goodies in tow, I went back to my dorm.
